ATSA Achieves Outstanding Results at Ranau State-Level Taekwondo Competition 2026
Ranau Sabah, 12th April 2026 - ATSA Taekwondo Academy proudly participated in the Sabah State-Level Taekwondo Competition, held from 9th to 12th April 2026 at the Ranau Sports Complex. This event marked another significant milestone in our students’ competitive journey.
A total of 40 ATSA students represented their respective classes at this state-level competition, showcasing their skills, discipline, and dedication on a larger platform. After two months of preparation since February, supported closely by both instructors and parents, the team delivered an impressive performance.
ATSA is proud to announce the team’s remarkable achievement of:
🥇 19 Gold Medals
🥈 9 Silver Medals
🥉 12 Bronze Medals
These results reflect not only the students’ hard work but also the strong support system behind them. Parents played a vital role throughout the preparation period, providing encouragement and commitment to ensure their children were ready for the competition.
Beyond the medals, the competition served as a valuable learning experience. Students demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship, while also gaining confidence through sharing experiences with fellow athletes. Most participants expressed satisfaction with their performance, recognizing both their achievements and areas for further improvement.
This experience will continue to shape ATSA students into more confident, disciplined, and competition-ready athletes. It reinforces our commitment to developing not only strong performers but also well-rounded individuals.
As we celebrate this success, ATSA looks forward to upcoming competitions with renewed motivation and stronger preparation. Together with our students and supportive parents, we will continue striving for excellence in every step of the journey.#Proud to be ATSA, and proud to part of MBV Taekwondo Club. #Taekwondo family

Our primary goal in this competition is to provide each student with a meaningful experience that enhances their confidence and independence. We believe that focusing on one category allows our students to fully dedicate themselves to their preparation and performance, ensuring they gain the most from this valuable opportunity.
While we understand the excitement of competing in multiple categories, we encourage each participant to focus on just one poomsae category or one sparring category. This approach allows us to concentrate on quality over quantity, emphasizing personal growth rather than the pursuit of numerous medals. Our focus is on fostering resilience, determination, and independence—skills that will serve them well both in and out of the competition arena.
Additionally, we kindly remind you that students are expected to participate independently, which includes traveling with the team and sharing meals together without parental supervision. This is an integral part of the learning experience, helping them build camaraderie and self-reliance. We look forward to witnessing their growth and success at the upcoming competition.
